I only stayed one night. Check-in went smoothly, and the rooms were clean, if a bit dated, which is really all I’m looking for. The odd part was the digital thermostat panel falling off the wall when I tried to change the room temperature. It looked like it should plug in, but there were no wires. I quickly realized the place probably has central air. I put the panel in the freezer for a couple of minutes and it still read 21 deg C, lol. I called the front desk and they confirmed central air. Not sure whether the panel was in display mode or something, but it seemed strange to have a thermostat on the wall when the building has central air. The front desk sounded surprised that it had fallen off. They also didn’t know whether upgrades were planned. If the hotel is sticking with central air, I’d suggest removing those panels. They seem to create more unnecessary conversation than anything else.

The one bright spot was the young front desk guy from Edmonton. He was polite and really friendly. The rest of the stay was disappointing for what we paid. Our room was tiny, and the bed had a big sag that left my back hurting the next day. Dinner downstairs wasn't much better: the food was overcooked and the waitress wasn't very friendly. We won't be stopping here again on our way through.

The main parking lot is around the block and underneath the hotel, so getting there takes a little extra effort, though it was manageable. Our group check-in, on the other hand, was quick and organized, and the rooms were very clean and in pretty good shape. The bar also let our group have drinks on the patio ahead of their dinner service. They were accommodating, well done.

The laundry downstairs and the coffee shop for mornings were both handy to have. We had comfortable rooms with cozy bedding, and the service was great throughout our stay. Everyone made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. Love staying here!

Being right on Main St made it easy to walk around, with shops everywhere. The hotel was clean, and there are food options too. We could see the main road from our window but didn't hear much noise. The sauna and hot tub looked clean and in great shape. Not bad at all!
