Royston House sits beside a pleasant shore trail along Comox Bay. We biked the path into Courtenay and really enjoyed it. It's just south of Courtenay, away from the bustle but still near restaurants and things to do. Nancy's generous, delicious breakfasts kept us going until supper, and Ross and Nancy gave us excellent tips on where to eat and what to do. Our accommodations were excellent, maybe extravagant for just the two of us, though we're not complaining. The B&B unit would suit a family of four to six, and the cooking facilities were good.

The view was amazing, and the rooms and living room were spotless and welcoming. The place is really well maintained, and I have no complaints. Just one small suggestion: some signs are spelled so wrongly they're a bit hard to understand. It'd be great if those could be corrected. A tiny nitpick, though. It's a great place.

There was everything we needed for a stay of several days, and the place was comfortable and close to the water and several towns. The one possible downside is the layout: the bedroom is separated from the kitchen and living area by a curtain, not a separate room. Still, I recommend staying here. Everything went well for us!

A trail from the property connects to an oceanfront path, making for a relaxing walk by the water after dinner. The food was great, the location beautiful, and the staff very friendly.
