Quality Inn Waddling Dog

Our flight was rerouted, leaving us needing an overnight stay in Victoria before an early departure. We chose this hotel for its proximity to the airport. The staff were excellent from check-in through checkout, and the lobby and breakfast room were clean and cozy. The rooms have recently been redone, giving them a modern feel while keeping their unique charm. Breakfast wasn’t available yet when we left, but they had a grab-and-go option ready for us. I’d highly recommend it for a distinctive stay with convenient access to the airport and ferries.

The rooms are spacious, and breakfast is included, with good choices for a healthy start to the day. It’s close to the airport and a short drive from the ferry terminal. The place is cozy, well kept, and recently renovated, and the staff are always ready to help with a smile.

The staff were so lovely about playing along with the ghost theme, and all of them were in on it. My cousin and I took our daughters for a January night because they’d always thought the hotel was haunted. The hotel knew ahead of time and came up with a story about five ghost dogs, each with a backstory, then made a scavenger hunt for the girls to explore and find things on the list. While they were off hunting, my cousin and I enjoyed the library lounge and the free tea and coffee. Our room was clean and spacious, and dinner in the pub’s family section was great, with good service. Thanks for making it such a memorable weekend for us!

This was our second visit. The room was clean and cozy, and we were welcomed with a smile and checked in quickly. They explained the hotel services, including breakfast, the restaurant, and a nearby liquor store. Breakfast in the morning had enough variety for us, and dinner at the pub was great. The portions were huge, so it was really good value. We’d definitely recommend the place and stay again.
