We were lucky to have a backup booking at Auberge des Battures, where the staff were very nice and helpful after this bad experience. At this hotel, the room they offered wasn’t the one we’d reserved two months earlier. We showed proof, but were told another family was staying in our room. The person we’d spoken with on the phone was apparently nowhere to be found, and the people there said she was in the hospital. When we asked why, he wouldn’t tell us. Then, as we went to pay for the alternative room, he raised its price too.

The view is hard to put into words. Sitting with it made the world feel huge and our problems seem small and far away. The owners are nice, and the chic but relaxed feel creates a peaceful place where parents and teenagers can coexist, and even estranged lovers might find their way back to each other. I sincerely hope this place brings you and your family what it brought us. A very thankful visitor

The view was magnificent, and lunch was fabulous. We got a truly warm welcome, and the place is clean and very well appointed. I recommend it without hesitation!!! 😉
