Rothesay Motel

The setting is lovely and peaceful, and it’s clear the owners care a lot about their business. I spent three nights in Cabin #2, which was just right for one person. The double bed was comfortable, the bedding was warm and smelled really nice, and the shower kept up strong, steady pressure with plenty of hot water. I hope to book with them again.

I travel for work and stay in motels and hotels all over the province, and I’ve never dealt with staff this rude. They cancelled my reservation just two hours before check-in. The customer service was horrible.

The owners were friendly and helpful, and I’d stay here again or recommend it to family and friends. I’d expected the worst because the rooms were so cheap, even though the reviews looked good, but I was pleasantly surprised. My little cabin was clean and comfortable, with a couple of chairs and a table outside. It’s close to the airport. Such a nice hidden gem near saint John!

We were there when Hurricane Arthur came through and eventually knocked out the power. At checkout, the owner gave us a Tim Horton's gift card to make up for the outage, which I thought was really thoughtful. The owners were very friendly and accommodating throughout. Room 9 was large and VERY clean, and even had a full size fridge. The beds were OK, the pillows were nice, and we had enough blankets, so the room was comfortable. We were in town for a wedding, and the location seemed convenient. The owner had also been very friendly when I called to book. I’d recommend Rothesay Motel as an affordable place to stay.
