Dream Catcher Travel House

The location was very convenient for us, but they aren't the only option. I rarely write reviews, I'm a lazy couch potato, but the way this was handled was so unfortunate. My card wouldn't go through for the Booking reservation, although I knew it was correct and working, and the bank confirmed there was no problem. I checked every digit and syllable, then contacted the property to ask if I could pay by phone or send an e-transfer before arrival to secure the booking. They didn't reply, so I called. The woman was polite, but told me every card number had to be correct, which I already knew. I removed and re-entered all the Visa details on Booking, triple-checked them, and it still didn't work. They cancelled the booking right after we spoke. I booked another property straight away and the payment went through perfectly. I'm Genius level 3 and have never had this problem before. I tried calling the property to discuss the cancellation and maybe book over the phone, but nobody answered, even half an hour after the first call.

It takes about 38mins to get downtown Toronto, but the street car stops right in front of the house, so getting around is convenient. The host was friendly, and the room was cozy and comfortable, with the air conditioning working perfectly against the summer heat. It was spacious, spotless and smelled wonderful. Great value and worth a top rating. I'd happily book it again.

They don't accept Mastercard, and it seems I'm not the only one who's had trouble trying to pay.

The location was great, especially for getting around on local transit, and the customer service was good. The room was neat, clean, quiet and secure, with a comfortable bed, desk, and its own bathroom and shower. Shampoo and body wash were provided. There was free wifi in the room, plus complimentary tea and coffee in the common area. The shared kitchen had dishes, a microwave, stove top and fridge. Parking instructions were easy to follow. I'd like to stay again if I get the chance.
