The staff were helpful and kind, but there were no bikes to rent as advertised. The kitchen needs to be renewed. This is a very old, lovely house, though it isn't easy to stay quiet in the corridors, and the bathrooms and toilets are downstairs while the rooms are upstairs. The hostel also has a bar that closes quite late, so the toilets get very dirty at night. Prices felt quite expensive compared with usual hostels in Quebec province, and breakfast wasn't included.

The bed was comfortable enough, and the shower had good heat and pressure. The sugar jar was actually full of salt, so I almost put it in my coffee. I had a pretty great time at the bar downstairs, and had a stimulating conversation with the bartender.

Mylene was humble and accommodating. We had to cut our stay short by a night, but there were no problems. The dorm was nice and the kitchen was great. We'd go back.

There was nobody at reception, so I checked in at the bar downstairs. It's a hostel in an old house that doesn't seem to have been renovated. The wood floors and every door are noisy. To shower, you have to go all the way down to the basement and walk past the bar.

It was great, and they were very hospitable and family friendly. I couldn't spend the night because they had dogs.
