The setting is beautiful and the new decor is cute, but I wouldn't stay here again or recommend it for an event. After the renovation, they were clearly scrambling: the hotel emailed us just 24 hours before a wedding to say some AC wasn't installed and the restaurant was closed, with a small refund promised. My room was still being furnished and floored three hours after check-in, and even when they said it was ready, workers were still setting it up. I had to wait longer when I needed to get ready for the first wedding event. There was drywall dust everywhere, glue smell, and no mirrors, even in the bathrooms. Later, they handed out dollar-store handheld mirrors to about half the guests. It was hot and humid, and neither the AC in my room nor in the replacement room worked. The halls were loud too, despite the peaceful surroundings. The reception staff were shockingly rude. When I asked when my room would be ready, I was told in French, “I don't know, what do you expect me to do about it?” Many guests were from Ontario, and staff could barely communicate with them. At the bridal breakfast, the waitress kept getting annoyed at a guest for making her own coffee from the buffet pot because service was so slow. I couldn't tell whether she was joking, and it made things awkward. The man in a black suit, who I think was the manager, was the only kind person and the only one trying to help. He was running around constantly. We were told we'd get one night reimbursed, but the paperwork was a mess: four separate receipts for a two-night stay. When I checked my bank statements later, I found they'd only refunded part of it. The disorganization and panic were chaotic, and I've never seen so many unhappy guests in one place.

The rooms were fancy and super clean. I really liked the food too, and the arcade entertainment room was a lot of fun.
The location is within easy reach of Montreal, with lots to do nearby. Service was excellent, and the staff were really friendly.
The restaurant alone has us thinking about coming back. The food was top-notch, especially the risotto and joue de veau, and we loved the tree view while dining. We also loved waking up to mountain scenery from the balcony at Auberge La Montagne Coupée. Every window looked out on a postcard view. We're planning a wedding and the staff were so helpful from check-in through dinner suggestions. They showed us around the event spaces with real enthusiasm and no pressure. We've visited a lot of venues, and this is one of the best we've seen. The pavilion's floor-to-ceiling windows make the most of the surroundings, and the packages seem fairly priced for what's included, better value than many other places we toured. PS, catch the sunset from the terrace!
The rooms felt cozy and were very clean. Restaurant service was generally good, though in the evening the staff started cleaning around our table before we'd finished.
