UNB Saint John Summer Hotel

At $100 with parking and tax included, the price is excellent. The place worked well for me as a solo traveler who mainly needed somewhere to sleep, and there are different residence options for families and larger groups too. It has the basic comforts, reliable Wi-Fi, and shared bathrooms. There's no AC, so bring a fan for warm nights, and remember your own towels. A comfortable, affordable option.

We were pleasantly surprised by the new residence, which was much nicer than I expected. Our two spacious rooms shared a bathroom, and the place was clean and air conditioned. I'd happily stay again if I'm in the Saint John area, and would recommend it.

For $80 a night, I wouldn't stay again unless I needed cheap accommodation near the hospital. At 6pm they sent me away because the room still needed to be "cleaned", and I had to return after 7pm. Check-in was confusing, with no signs explaining what to do, and we waited by a locked entry door until we caught the office worker's attention. Checkout was the same. We had a double room with a private bathroom. The dorm rooms seemed beat up, like students had just moved out. Things looked clean at first, but there was a mess under the toilet seat, which made me doubt how well the rest had been cleaned. The toilet also leaked and left the bathroom floor covered in water at bedtime, so getting to and from the tiny shower, or using the toilet, was awkward.

Carla and the rest of the staff were so kind, caring, friendly, and helpful. When the hospital dates kept changing, Carla went above and beyond to sort out my accommodations. I spent a few weeks here while my husband was in the Saint John Regional Hospital, and this place was a real God send to me. We'll always be grateful. The UNB summer hotel is in a beautiful spot. It was quiet, clean, affordable, and very comfortable. They're a real team, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the summer Hotel.
