Motel des Pentes et Suites

The beds are hard, which could be a plus if that’s what you like. The kitchenette could use a toaster and kettle, too. Things were fine until people moved into the room upstairs. The squeaky floor is almost unbearable. Surely it can be fixed.

Unless you need somewhere very cheap, I’d stay elsewhere. The room badly needed an upgrade, with damaged walls and floorboards. The bathroom was run down and hadn’t been cleaned properly. There was even a bar of soap left in the tub by the previous guests.

The owner at the front desk was the highlight, always greeting me with a smile and being really welcoming. The motel is close to stores and restaurants, and the second-floor rooms have a good view and a quiet setting. There’s almost everything you need in the rooms, which are quite spacious apart from the bathrooms. The motel itself feels old and a bit outdated, and the lighting in the room could be a little better, but the rooms are decent.

We came as a family of 9 and booked 4 rooms for family day weekend. We had a great time together, and I’d recommend the motel to friends. The rooms, bedding, and towels were clean, the staff were friendly, and the water pressure was great. It’s within walking distance of amenities, with a cute craft beer shop across the street. I’d stay again, but I’ll bring earplugs because the walls don’t block much sound. I’ll also pack toiletries since what’s provided is minimal. One other thing to remember: the maglocks can be a little funny. Don’t lock the deadbolt or it deactivates the mechanism, lol.
