The view was spectacular, and there’s a little beach beside the motel where my dog loved splashing around. We even watched seals swim past right in front of our chalet. We stayed in a chalet with another chalet upstairs, but never heard any noise. It was also an easy walk to a few small restaurants and a bistro. The price was comparable to other places, but this one gave us privacy and a lively little kitchen with everything we needed to cook our own meals. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely return. I’d recommend it to anyone wanting a beautiful place with the comforts of home.

The room we were sent to had no AC, very weak Wi-Fi, and dated furniture and facilities. We were surprised to arrive at the main building overlooking the river, then be directed across the street to a dingy building in what looked like a truck stop. There is a stream behind that second building, but it’s nothing like the magnificent river view at the main one. We didn’t know there was a difference when we booked, and it wasn’t made clear at all. I’d strongly recommend staying elsewhere, or getting 100% confirmation that you’ll be in the main building.

We stayed in two different chalets on separate visits, and #6 was the best since there was nobody above us or on the left. The rooms were a good size, and the bathroom had been renovated. The view is amazing and really the main reason to choose these places. Still, given the price, I’m not sure I’d return.

A very good breakfast place is nearby. We chose a mountain-view room and could enjoy a spring flowing by, along with a view of the river above. The hotel’s view is among the best you could expect, and the stay exceeded our expectations. 100% recommend!

The view was nice, but our stay was a mess. I’d booked a room for about $75 a night a couple of months ahead for a wedding. At check-in, the man at reception said he had no reservation under my name and that only a chalet was available, for $250 a night. He wouldn’t offer a lower rate, even though my reservation had apparently been mishandled, and my French wasn’t good enough for me to argue. When we cut the stay to one night, he offered a motel room for the second night at $85. So much for the original room price. We turned it down: our expected $160 stay had jumped to $250 for half the time. At the wedding, several other guests told us they’d run into similar problems, with check-in prices higher than quoted or reservations changed to more expensive rooms without their knowledge. The hotel also called the bride and groom on the wedding day to say the reservation under our name hadn’t shown up. The front desk man either lied to us or couldn’t be bothered to do his job properly. Don’t stay here if you can’t speak French impeccably. They will take advantage of you. Such a shame, because the view was nice.
