Auberge Alpine Inn

The room was old and unclean, and the ad photos gave a misleading impression. The bathroom was tiny, with yellow stains between the tiles and a sticky floor. The outdated toilet made loud dripping and water sounds all night after a normal flush. The living room was very dark because its ceiling light was broken. There were no activities, and the outdoor areas were all under snow. At $500 a night, this place offered nothing. I wouldn’t recommend booking it.

The kids loved the big, clean pool, and several attractions were only a quick drive away. We stayed in the clean cabin for a short getaway with our two young children, and it had everything we needed. The staff were great too. My wife and I will definitely come back.

We really liked the on-site restaurant, the food was very, very good. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and there are lots of picnic tables and places to sit around the property. The outdoor pool is heated, too. Our room was cute and nicely decorated, though a bit outdated, and only one window opened for fresh air. We highly recommend the place.

We had a really good dinner at “Entrecôte” and enjoyed a professional massage through our Tuango package. The rustic hotel has cozy, clean rooms, though I found the bed and pillows somewhat uncomfortable, but I’m fussy about those. It’s a lovely spot for a walk by the river. I’m here in winter, though I’m sure it’s nice in summer too. There’s a small pool and several picnic tables for spending time outside. Breakfast was nice as well: fresh fruit, bread, real bagels, hard-boiled eggs, and little pots of jam, cream cheese, creton and butter, plus all-you-can-drink coffee. A note about package pricing: Saturday costs $40 more. They add 15% gratuity to the total bill, then charge tax on the total including that gratuity.
