Motel Sainte Catherine

The facilities were somewhat decent, and for the price, you get what you pay for with the room. But the staff member's attitude made the stay unpleasant from check-in. The older Asian woman was extremely rude and unprofessional, which felt completely uncalled for. Since I was only there briefly, I stayed, but otherwise I would've taken my business elsewhere. She’s the main reason I’m leaving this negative review.

I spent four days there, and the rooms clearly aren't well kept. The mirror already had two overlapping handprints on it when I got the room. Absolutely disgusting. I took video and pictures, but can't be bothered to share them. Go and you'll see for yourself.

The riverside setting was serene, with beautiful water views that made it feel relaxing during our family vacation. We also had attached parking. Motel Sainte-Catherine is conveniently located for getting to Montreal’s main attractions, which worked well for family outings. The rooms were well kept and the staff friendly, so it felt welcoming. It’s a comfortable, affordable choice for families.

We asked to check in, but nobody seemed to know anything about our booking. The receptionist said he didn't have our online reservation written down or on the computer, and they also wouldn't honor the price we booked online. What's the point of making a reservation?! The office was awful too, with a mould smell, cobwebs and discarded boxes everywhere. Two smoke alarms kept beeping on and off like the batteries were dying. We turned right around and went to stay with family in town. Even being packed eight to a house sounded better than whatever was waiting in that room after such terrible service.
