Jacques saved my weekend after I found a flat tire on the first morning. I’d run over a screw on the drive up, and my car had no spare, so I was facing a tow to a Montreal service centre that was closed. Jacques was working nearby and immediately brought over a puncture kit and air pump, then patched the tire where I was parked. He wouldn’t accept anything for helping and said he was glad to do it. Thanks again, Jacques, and thanks to the Auberge Des Gallant management for having such a generous groundskeeper. I’d be glad to return. I’d booked this family-run auberge for a weekend charity event without knowing much about it. The staff were pleasant, and both the food and accommodations were great.

The staff looked after us really well, and the service was excellent. We had a great night in this peaceful spot among the mountains and forests. I’d happily recommend it.

We had a great meal with attentive service and enjoyed a massage and the hot tub. It made for a lovely weekend away, even though it was close to home. We’d definitely return.

The wedding reception itself was beautiful, and the service that day met our expectations. We were happy with how the event went. The trouble came afterward: the hotel gave us a gift coupon to thank us, but when we tried to use it, they showed no flexibility with the dates even after we explained our circumstances. Our son had been hospitalized for six months. The management had changed since the wedding, and dealing with the new wedding and events manager was extremely disappointing. Communication was poor, there was little empathy, and they wouldn’t even listen to our situation. The dismissive attitude was shocking in context. For a four-star hotel, that rigidity and lack of understanding was a real letdown, and the service after the event damaged what should have remained a happy memory.
