I was on my way home for Christmas after being away for a while, and really missing home. From the moment I arrived, everyone treated me like family. Brandy, Gaddie (I'm sure I've spelled that wrong, sorry lol), Cassie, and Shandra are an awesome crew, and the rooms are nice, the place is super cool, and the prices are fair. I couldn't have asked for a better stay, and I won't forget it. You're cheating yourself if you don't stop here. And Damon deserves a shout-out for the entertainment, those snowboarding videos 😂

A nice little three-star hotel right in the town center, with a pub downstairs. The apartment-style room could work well for an extended stay. There isn't cable for the TV, so be ready to stare at the walls. Still, even without a proper bathroom door, I'd poop here again. 🤗

We got stranded in Salmo, and by some miracle the Salmo Hotel had one room left. I fell in love with the place. The building and our room were beautiful, cozy, and full of character. Our deluxe corner room was clean and came with two beds, a full kitchen, a bathtub, wifi, and a smart TV. There's a saloon downstairs with live music nights, and the staff were incredibly kind and generous. I'm so grateful we got to stay and hope to return next year. UPDATE: The hotel is temporarily closed because of fire damage, and I wanted to share what happened with our booking. When we were stranded last year, manager Kara-Lee offered us the last room and even offered to drive us to Ymir to look for another place if we chose not to stay in Salmo. I was so touched by that care that, after we got home, I quickly booked another night for our road trip this summer. With the hotel now temporarily closed, I worried we couldn't keep the booking. But Kara-Lee came through again and moved it to a nearby motel. I'm sure the fire has made things hectic, and they could have cancelled and left us without a place. Instead, they went above and beyond to look after their customers. I can't recommend this place enough. The hotel, the town, and everyone I've met have been amazing. I hope it reopens soon. It's a real gem of the interior, and its staff have been a wonderful reflection of the Salmo community. I hope to keep coming back for a long time.

It's brighter inside now, and the pool table is great. I love that Salmo has this nostalgic feel again, with a fun mix of old and new. Clean, kind, and full of nostalgia. I'll definitely be back.

We slept great in the new bed, and the room was comfortable and clean. The staff were especially helpful and accommodating. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
