The restaurant serves a good selection of well-prepared food in a comfortable, attractive setting. There's also plenty of parking right outside your room or very close by. This is a beautiful, spacious lodge at the edge of Banff town. The common lounge has a good atmosphere, and the rooms are spacious, each with a fireplace and a bathroom with a separate shower and bath. The central hot tub is spacious too and looks out at the surrounding mountains.

It's far enough from Banff that it doesn't feel like you're in an area overrun by tourists, but still close enough to enjoy the town. The atmosphere was relaxing, and the staff were unbelievably friendly. The hot tub wasn't quite as spectacular as it looks in the photos, but we still enjoyed it a lot and have no complaints. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend it!

We got a nice, free upgrade to a larger lodge, and it was really nice. It came with a full kitchen, living room, wood-burning fireplace, big bathroom, and more. The lodge was very clean when we arrived, and the service was professional, friendly, and very good. We were able to use the wood-burning fireplace and also ate at the restaurant. It's just a couple of minutes from downtown Banff. We had a great time here.

The room fireplace really made the stay for us. We cooked a simple dinner, opened a bottle of wine, and sat by the fire in the quiet warmth. Those moments in such a romantic setting felt priceless. The bed was very comfortable, and even around -20°C the heating kept the room cosy. The staff made us feel welcome from the start, and the lodge had a warm, peaceful feel that suited a winter escape. We even got to see it snowing, which made everything feel magical. The kitchenette is small but thoughtfully equipped with a microwave, toaster, electric kettle, and high-quality IKEA utensils, ideal if you enjoy cooking while travelling. A lovely place to slow down, relax, and enjoy Banff in winter. We'd absolutely come back!

The calm setting made a huge difference to our Banff trip. We’d spent the first night at another hotel that was fine, but moving to Buffalo Mountain Lodge immediately made everything feel more relaxed. It’s away from busy downtown, yet the ROAM bus is right there for an easy ride into town. Our suite was spacious, clean, and quiet, with a cozy fireplace for winding down after exploring. The views were beautiful, and waking up in such a peaceful spot was unforgettable. The staff were warm and attentive, and every interaction felt personal. I really couldn’t ask for more. We’ll be back to Banff, and we’ll stay at Buffalo Mountain Lodge again.
