The Crystal Inn on the Parkway

A great rate for a last-minute trip to the Falls, and the room was clean with facilities as described. The staff reached out to confirm when we'd arrive, explained how to get the key after office hours, and were extremely friendly. Checkout took less than 20 seconds. Great value for money, highly recommended.

The location is quiet, along the main road by the river gorge, and only a short drive to the falls. It's about 1.5 miles from the main tourist areas. Though the hotel looks dated outside, the rooms inside were clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and even suggested a nice little diner for breakfast. It isn't a five-star hotel, but for the cost and location, it's great.

I visited in 2015, and the hotel was very good for the price, with a top-notch location. The beds were quite hard, though that may have changed over the half decade since. I don't know why Google Maps says one night costs $893, that can't be right. From what I remember, it was over $800 less. If you want to be near the attractions without throwing money out the window, this is a good hotel.

The staff were friendly, it was quiet and clean, and the people were cool. But the website said there was a pool and there wasn't. Coffee was complimentary, but only with whitener, and there was just tap water, no ice, and the vending machine closed at 11. No phones in the room or restaurant menus either. The queen bed was two singles pushed together. The metal staircase was propped up with bricks, and the sink and shower water swung from freezing to scalding. We had to relocate several spiders, and avoided the A/C because of the bird's nest. We hung towels over the window to block the street lights, and had to share our so-called romantic en suite balcony. It's a two-hour walk to the falls. We laughed so hard at this 2-star inn that we made the best of it, and yes, we'd totally come back. Sometimes ghetto is fun!
