There was loud talking and constant slamming from all directions through the night. My own experience was traumatic: a man claiming to be maintenance or management tried to force his way into my room, said he was going to rape me, and told me to let him in because he had a gun. I managed to push him out, barricaded myself in the bathroom, and called the police. I stayed the rest of the night but was too scared to leave my room or sleep until morning. I truly believe the hotel played some role in allowing this assault to happen. The lower floor had several unhoused or displaced people, broken items, and garbage bags full of belongings, and the place reeked of booze and cigarettes. If they kept the hotel in better shape and monitored who came and went like normal hotels do, I doubt this would have happened. I booked online at the last minute while travelling through Canada toward Alaska. If I could give zero stars, I would.

The location is great, but the room needs proper cleaning. There were lots of sock fluff on the sheets, boogers on the bed, and blood on the bottom of the bathroom door frame. It seems they only wash the comforters, not the whole sheet set. This place could do well if they invested in proper hotel practices, especially with such a good location. And get rid of the smoking rooms, it’s 2025.

The river view was a treat, and the location right in downtown Whitehorse was excellent. It was easy to find parking outside the hotel. My room was spacious, with two beds and clean white sheets, plus a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and TV. The washroom door wouldn’t close all the way, but it was manageable. Staff were pleasant and easy to deal with. Basic and clean, with good value and a nice home base in the area. I’d recommend it.

We just stayed there, and I’m covered in bed bug bites. I’m furious, especially since other reviews suggest they clearly knew about the problem. The whole hotel was extremely hot, which makes me think they may have been trying to kill the bugs with heat, but that doesn’t work. Stop being cheap and hire a professional. I wish we’d checked reviews first. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL.

Our vehicle was broken into, and there were lots of homeless people hanging around. The room was terrible and the price felt like a scam. We chose this place hoping to avoid another bad hotel experience from last year, but this stay was worse.
