You can walk to attractions, shops, good restaurants, and the River pathways from here. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and have comfy beds and pillows, and the staff were helpful. It’s good value for the money, as long as you’re not expecting brand-new five-star accommodations. You’re paying a lot less than at most downtown hotels.

The front desk girls and gentleman were the one bright spot. We had a large room with comfortable beds, but the kitchenette was barely equipped for a room with two double beds that could sleep four: one bowl, two spoons, one fork, and a couple of knives. We asked for a dishcloth and towel to wash and dry the dishes, and got a filthy, disgusting rag. The microwave and counter were dirty when we arrived, and we had to clean them ourselves. The kettle held what we assumed was water. There was a mini Ritz cracker by the fridge, dirt between the beds and nightstand, and the room clearly hadn’t been vacuumed. I wouldn’t walk around barefoot. The toilet lid, toilet paper holder, and exhaust fan were broken, the room smelled bad, and there was no towel rack, just a small hook behind the door. They ask guests to hang towels to save energy, but there’s nowhere proper to hang them. We also had to ask for Kleenex and more toilet paper. The nearly empty roll hadn’t been replenished, and the paper felt like tissue. Our reservation was hard to find both at check-in and when I called before arrival to change the date because of our flight. I spoke to Kalie and asked her to email an updated confirmation, but she didn’t. When we asked for some compensation for the room, we were told someone would contact us. A month later, after emails about the lack of follow-up, we still hadn’t heard back. Very bad customer service. I took the pictures after we started cleaning and didn’t think to photograph it earlier. It was disgusting. It seemed like the only thing they clean when refreshing a room is the sheets. I would avoid this place. The health inspectors should be called, and saying it needs a revamp is an understatement. I wouldn’t even try the “lounge/bar” area.

The people were great, the location was good, and the price was really reasonable. It’s an older place with a homey feel, and it was clean and well maintained. We stayed in two different rooms at different times over the course of a week. Both were extremely clean, with good beds and pillows. Shower pressure varied by room, from okay to pretty good. Definitely worth it.

The rooms were just okay, but for the price it’s a decent place right in the centre of town, with easy access to everything in Whitehorse. The service was the real highlight. During the morning shift, Hana and her lovely service dog were very kind to me. He was quite old and sweet-natured, and it was nice that he could come to work, even though he mostly rested in the back rooms. I’d definitely recommend the staff’s service.

The hotel is old, and the outside can look a bit grungy, but our room was clean and smelled nice. The beds were hard, though that can’t be helped. Parking in the alley felt a bit shady, but there’s security and we had no trouble. The staff were always nice to us, if a little busy. They even gave us an extra room key so we could freeze something in an empty room, and pointed us around town. Good stay if you want to be on main street. We’d come again. Anyone saying the staff were rude must have a stuck-up attitude.
