Wild North Bed & Rest

Josh was easy to reach, and the rates were very reasonable. I had a nice two-night stay in a room that was organized and ready before I arrived. It’s in a quiet neighbourhood, about a 25 min walk to downtown Whitehorse. There’s no breakfast, but you can cook your own food. I’d visit again.

After a long, grueling day, it was at least a clean place to sleep. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean, but we didn’t feel safe. It’s in a crowded residential area and isn’t clearly marked. The owner had texted instructions, but we’d been out of cell service most of the day. We arrived late and had to creep quietly down to a basement room with a shared bathroom. In the morning I showered because I was desperate, but the previous user had left a washcloth on the shower floor. Horrible, horrible, horrible.

The owner was really easy to deal with, and the instructions for getting into the house were straightforward. Shared accommodations worked excellently for us and were just what we needed after a long trip.

We’ve stayed here twice and loved it both times. It’s a self-serve Bed & Breakfast with six rooms, and it’s roomy, clean, comfortable, and well stocked with amenities. It’s fun to get to know the other guests. Josh, the owner, was kind and responsive on both stays. The place is close to town and has plenty of parking.
