The Inn at the Ninth Hole B&B

The continental breakfast got our day off to a good start, and Joe did everything he could to meet our needs. We spent two nights at the Inn last week. When we knocked, Innkeeper Joe greeted us right away and went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant and memorable. We look forward to coming back. Highly recommend!

We have traveled the world for more than 50 years, but have never spent time at a more wonderful accommodation than The Inn at the Ninth in Salmon Arm. Anyone hoping to be enchanted in Salmon Arm should plan to stay at this spectacular B&B. We were in the Shuswap region for an eventful trip, delivering copies of a book I wrote about my wife's father, who grew up on the shores of Shuswap Lake, to local museums. We chose the Inn at the Ninth for its location, setting and high ratings on several booking sites. We weren't expecting such a warm welcome from Joe Augustine, the innkeeper who runs the B&B. He was personable, sensitive and thoughtful about our visit and every need, and went out of his way to make us feel at home. The Inn is in a private, natural setting beside a golf course, yet feels far from civilization despite being less than ten minutes from central Salmon Arm. The public rooms are cozy, and the breakfast room even more so. Each morning Joe made a delicious, healthful breakfast with the best muffins we've ever eaten, eggs scrambled to order, and plenty of coffee, tea, jams and yoghurt. Since it was the quiet season, we got to sit and talk with him at breakfast, which was an added bonus.

Joe made us a lovely breakfast in the morning that suited our dietary needs, and we appreciated every part of our stay. My mum and I had a wonderful visit at Inn at the Ninth, and we'd absolutely recommend this B&B if you're going to Salmon Arm. The building and rooms have a rustic old English feel, almost like being transported to a quaint country lodge in England. The rooms were exceptionally clean and thoughtfully arranged. Joe, the owner, was especially friendly and welcoming, making the place feel warm and relaxed. Thank you, Joe!

A great fit for a golf retreat with couples or a foursome. Joe, the Manager, went above and beyond with excellent service and had plenty of local knowledge.
