Diane, the manager, is the reason we’ll be coming back. She was fantastic, warm, friendly, and so accommodating. She made me feel special, and after my wife dealt with her at checkout on our last day, she told me, “Diane is a Pet. Adorable,” without me having said anything about my own impression. So there are really two reviews here. We usually stay at Fairmonts and Four Seasons, so this was a different kind of trip. The motel’s exterior is deceptive and might only get two stars, but our room was surprisingly okay, with upgraded floors and strong AC. The inside gets three stars. Diane gets seven.

The listing agent is a liar, according to this reviewer, and they say she gives wrong information about the property. They also claim the owner was deported back to China and is now away from the property, which is for sale, and say the owners and agent just want cash. The reviewer describes poor construction, a lot of mess, holes in rooms, and black mold. Be careful.

The owner wasn’t there, and check-in wasn’t even possible. By the end I was glad about that, though. I’d booked a room while travelling to the Rocky Mountains, but the office was closed and other motel guests told me the owner was on vacation. I was exhausted and had nowhere to stay that night, but fortunately found a room at another hotel. It cost more, but it was great and worth it. Worst place I’ve ever seen!

We arrived for our booked night and found the office shut, with a note saying the owners had gone for the night because of a family emergency. My travel partner and I were left completely stranded. Book at your own risk, though you’re probably better off avoiding the place entirely.
