Lisa suggested this place to me, and the staff were wonderful. I expected to stay just a few days, but ended up there almost a month while my husband’s health issues were being handled across the street at Royal University Hospital. It’s a good location if you have family at RUH or Jim Pattison Children's Hospital. The rooms were comfortable, and sharing a bathroom with four other rooms wasn’t a problem for me. There’s a shared kitchen where you’re asked to label your food, with tape and a marker provided. They also have a small canteen for basic things you might have forgotten, plus laundry at very reasonable rates. Everyone was so accommodating that I bought a little air fryer and left it for future guests to use in the kitchen. Thanks to Gord, Cathy, Sinda, Heather, Babs and Pam, and to my housemates Judy and Brenda. You made the stay enjoyable. I hope I can come back in better circumstances. Hugs and kisses. Ann R.

I arrived in Saskatoon for the first time and booked three nights at Laura's lodge while I looked for a permanent rental. I liked it enough to extend by five more days, and it turned into one of my best stays. The place is spotless, including the well-kept washrooms. I enjoyed meeting people in the shared kitchen and made friends there. The staff were lovely: the welcoming woman who checked me in helped with my luggage and made me feel more at ease as a newcomer. Later, one of the women on duty and the owner helped me look for a place to stay long term. I loved the atmosphere and how safe and comfortable it felt. Thanks to everyone at Laura's lodge for being so kind and reassuring.

The kitchen and lounge make it easy to feel at home. There are books, cards, puzzles and games, and you can buy food there if needed. Our nearby shared washroom was very clean, as were the tidy rooms. We were the only ones in our section, so it was especially quiet. The staff were polite, and it’s a short walk to my appointments. First time staying here, and we’ll be back.

The online listing gave the impression the suite had a kitchenette, with kitchen photos attached to the room description. That’s nowhere near what we found. The room was small and not the one we thought we’d chosen, and calling this a hotel feels misleading. It’s basically a rooming house with a shared kitchen. The worker seemed surprised we had a reservation, so we were lucky anyone was there. The value just isn’t there. I won’t stay again and don’t recommend it.

I was stranded in Saskatoon for a couple of days by the recent storm, and this place was lovely. The people were so nice, and the room came with towels, extra blankets and a plug-in heater. There’s internet and parking, plus a shared bathroom down the hall and a shared kitchen with dishes, a dishwasher and a big fridge for your food. They give you a door code and an after-hours tag so you can get back in. It’s close enough to walk to a couple of places to eat or pick up essentials, and for the price I’d definitely stay again. Just know it isn’t very wheelchair accessible. The kitchen is downstairs in the basement, and reaching each floor from the porch means going up or down a flight of stairs.
