Refresh Inn & Suites

My sleep was wonderful and quiet, even though the place is off the hospital strip. I stayed in room 208, which was so clean there wasn’t a speck of dust anywhere. It even smelled clean and sterile.

My family was staying here during a traumatic time, with a loved one in critical condition at the hospital across the street. The hotel added stress when we needed a safe, trustworthy place to stay. I’m extremely disappointed that similar concerns keep appearing in other reviews. In my case, writing card numbers on sticky notes instead of doing a standard pre-authorization was alarming. Soon after my stay, a $2,000+ unauthorized purchase on apple.ca appeared. After working with my card provider, it became clear how and when my card had been compromised. Management needs to address front desk practices and conduct immediately. Whether this is staff behavior or a broader management failure, the pattern is unacceptable. Guests deserve much better. This level of negligence or misconduct is shameful, and a police report will be filed. If you’ve stayed here recently, check your card statements carefully for fraudulent charges.

I stayed four nights in the executive king suite. The pillows, blankets, and sheets smelled fresh and clean, and the place looked brand new and spotless. The facilities were well maintained inside and out, and housekeeping did an excellent job in both the room and shared kitchen. The laundry was very affordable, and the machines worked well. Breakfast had a nice variety. It was a small offering, but satisfying and nutritious enough. Staff from reception to housekeeping were friendly and accommodating, and I also met one of the owners, who was very helpful. There’s reception and security 24/7, too. It was worth every dollar. If you book here, please help keep the place clean and maintained the way the business does. Let’s support businesses like this so others can benefit from the same excellent service. Kudos to the staff and management!

The kitchen was a real plus, and I had a good weekend overall. Mornings were noisy, though, with doors slamming over and over. If you're on the first floor, the common area is right across from you.
