Four Points by Sheraton Saskatoon

Every night there was a different disruption between 1 and 5 a.m. Snow clearing with metal blades scraping pavement for ages the first night, unsupervised kids running through the halls the second, then a domestic disturbance in the hall and heavy equipment in the parking lot on the third. I know they can't control every guest, but the amount of riff-raff was shocking. This was the worst Four Points I've stayed at. I was there on a three-night business trip with colleagues, and we had similar experiences. Parking was terrible, with most spaces taken during the day by café and Burger King customers instead of hotel guests. The hotel isn't old, but it's run down: thin walls, damaged or stained furniture, especially in common areas, filthy elevators, and beds so worn you sink almost to the floor. The restaurant was meant to be open until 9 p.m., but at 7:30 I was told it was takeout only. The food was decent, but the servers were slow, lazy, borderline rude, and seemed like they didn't want to be there. Housekeeping missed basic things too. After cleaning on day one, they left no toilet paper. At the desk, nobody cared enough to ask my room number, they just handed over a roll. Later I found a wet, smelly cloth on my nightstand. I didn't bother complaining after that, with so much already wrong. Writing this so others don't have to go through the same awful stay.

The staff are great, and the location is amazing, but for the price I didn't get a good night's sleep. The hotel feels dated for what it costs. The shower base wasn't level with the foundation and creaked when I stood on it. You could hear people moving around outside the room, both above and in the hallway. The bedding was rough too, with old pillows that felt like rags stuffed into the covers and a bed that felt like its springs were about to pop out.

I was here for a training event, not an overnight stay, so I can't really speak to the rooms and rated them neutrally since I didn't use one. The location is convenient and easy to get to. Restaurant service was excellent, with friendly, accommodating staff and servers throughout our visit.

People on our floor and the one above yelled and ran through the halls both nights until after 11 p.m. The beds were springy and noisy, and the TV remote only worked if I stood in one particular spot. In the bathroom, several tiles were cracked, the wall repair was sloppy, and the tub creaked while I showered. The pool was cold, the hot tub jets didn't work, and the waterslide wasn't running during its posted hours. Half the pool floor was taped off for painting, so there weren't extra chairs either. Awful stay, wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.
