My best friend and I stayed four nights for a break from kids and husbands and to sew, crochet, and knit. The room was pleasantly spacious for what we needed, and we loved having a separate kitchen. It helped that we were the only ones using it. It was a little odd that nobody greeted us, but we actually liked having privacy while we brought in all our totes and craft supplies. We met the housekeeper, explained what we were working on, and asked to borrow a carpet sweeper so we could clean as we crafted. They appreciated that we wanted to leave the place tidy. Since there wasn't one available, we bought two kinds of lint removers and left the room nearly spotless. We're planning to come back next year for another crafting retreat.

We could watch the gorgeous sunset over Port Elgin Beach right from bed. Loved staying here!

We only stayed one night, but the Inn was easy to get into and the letter with our room details made finding it simple. The room was quiet, clean, and a decent size, with a balcony overlooking the lake and beach. Bathrobes, a coffee maker, a small fridge, and plenty of fresh towels and toiletries made it feel first class. We drove less than ten minutes to Stacked on Goderich St. for breakfast. More nearby restaurants and cafes should be open in a few weeks, and we spotted two dinner places that looked really good. We were visiting friends this time, so didn't try them, but would next time. Thanks to the "Birds of Paradise" for a lovely stay. Main roads were easy to reach, too.

Port Elgin Main Beach is an easy walk from the hotel, and parking is free. There isn't a check-in desk, as some people have mentioned, but we got an email with the building access codes before arriving. Once there, we found an envelope with our name on it explaining the room number and its access code. We stayed at Paradise Inn at the Beach last weekend and had a great time. A big thank you to Randy and Judy Bird from us.

The fully equipped kitchen made staying in and eating at home an easy choice. Everything was spotless, and the bed was about as comfortable as it gets. Getting into the waterfront suite was simple, too: the door code worked perfectly. It felt like a second home from the start. We'd definitely stay here again if we come back to the Port Elgin area.
