I booked this hotel on December 14, 2025, for July 16-17, 2026. The rate, set by the hotel, was CAD 152.10 before tax and CAD 174.92 after tax. Then on January 9, 2026, Expedia emailed to say the property couldn’t honor the booking because the “Rate Refused by Property.” The hotel canceled without contacting me at all. I’ve never dealt with such an untrustworthy, shameless business. If they can cancel a reservation because they’re unhappy with the price, what’s the point of booking? Even an Expedia membership didn’t prevent this. Had they canceled shortly before my trip during peak tourist season, when other hotels were likely full, I might not have found another place and my itinerary could have been seriously disrupted. I strongly advise people planning a hotel stay to avoid this money-grubbing establishment. Don’t leave a ticking time bomb in a carefully planned trip. Please tell your friends and acquaintances, too. If negative scores were possible, I’d give this hotel -5 stars.

We called at the very last minute, and they had one room available. After booking, we drove 4hrs to the Motel. The staff and owners were amazing, and our room was spacious and private. It was quiet and restful, and we had no issues at all. We’ll be back if we pass through or need somewhere in the area again. :)

We spent 5 nights in one of their chalets with our two daughters and loved it. It was larger than we expected, very clean, and well equipped, with AC that worked really well. There are lots of restaurants nearby, and we made plenty of use of the free pass to Parlee beach. Great location, and I highly recommend Gaudet chalets.

The owners were really nice, and we had a great stay with our two kids, ages 6-12, for 4 nights. The place was very clean, which was my favourite part, and close to everything we needed. Parlee beach was right next store, just a small car drive away. The wifi wasn’t great, but we didn’t come for internet, just a clean place to sleep. The showers are very small with not much room, though it didn’t bother me. We had a wonderful time and I’d highly recommend it. :)

The rooms are large and clean, and the staff are friendly and know their stuff. Restaurants are within walking distance, and the beach is about a 30 min walk away. I’d recommend staying here. 👍👍
