Hôtel Le Président

Our sports team had a great stay. The one bad part was dinner at the restaurant: I found hair in my food three separate times in the same night. They were nice when I brought it up, but I didn’t want to keep replacing my meal over and over.

We spent one night in a suite at Hôtel le Président in Sherbrooke, and it was one of the better hotel experiences we’ve had. The room was spacious and clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. They seemed to care about guests’ comfort. The pool and hot tub were good, and the breakfast deal for $10 was a very good option. As electric car owners, we were glad to see charging stations available at the Hotel, but there weren’t any here.

The location was nice and it was quiet, and the staff handled a few room hiccups quickly and kindly. But the hotel is huge, so getting across it was quite a trek. The rooms felt outdated, and one bed seemed like it hadn’t been changed because there was a massive amount of hair on it. There was hair in the tub too, so cleanliness needs work. I also had to unplug the fridge at night because it kept ringing on and off.

I spent a week here, and they had water problems the whole time. I had multiple cold showers, there was no hot tub, and the mess around the pool was disgusting. It should have been shut down, but they were still letting people use it. The rooms are dated, and the TVs are old with almost no channels. Before that week, I had an early flight and sat in the lobby for six hours because the front desk lady wouldn’t check us in, even though our rooms were ready. I’d spend a bit more and stay at the OTL. And about the owner’s reply, I stayed a whole week, not one day. It’s honestly hilarious to see them backtrack after a bad review. I never asked for a refund, so get the facts straight. This hotel is terrible, and so is the owner.
