Monashee Motel

I'm writing because of how welcoming this place is. It's right off the highway with nice views, but what stood out was an employee's kindness. I mentioned that the food cooking smelled amazing, and he offered to bring us some when it was ready. The Indian food was some of the best we've ever tried, and I've never stayed somewhere friendlier. We'll absolutely be back!

I've stayed here several times with my dog while travelling between AB and BC, and the clean rooms and view suit me. They're not too outdated, and for the price, a few small issues are things I can live with. On my latest visit the upgraded showerheads weren't working properly. I didn't want to log into my streaming accounts on the TVs, so I couldn't use those services. The Wi-Fi was okay but kept disconnecting and reconnecting in the morning, which was annoying while using my laptop. The place advertises as pet friendly, though bringing a pet costs another $30 plus tax, almost half the room rate. Mostly that was fine, but as my friendly beagle and I approached the front to drop off my key, one of the workers on the property ran away shouting 'DOG! DOG!' as if terrified. I understand that people can be afraid, but that was an extreme reaction to a small dog and put a damper on the end of my stay. The motel met my needs, and I'll likely stay again.

A great little motel in an ideal spot for the Crazy Creek hot pools. The owners are awesome, the place is clean, and the mattresses are great. When we had to move rooms, which really wasn't a problem, they were exceptionally kind and bought my kids pizza dinner as an apology. Can't recommend it enough.

We got a warm welcome, and the bed and pillow were clean and really comfortable. The blankets didn't match, and while the furniture was worn, the room was generally clean. A bit more attention would help: the armchair needed vacuuming, the bathroom could have been cleaned more thoroughly, and there was hair along the bathtub edge. Still, it was a good night's sleep before getting back on the road. Thank you.
