Salty Towers Oceanfront Cottages

A lovely little private gem near Whiffin Spit, with restaurants at a range of prices nearby. The nautical, captain-themed decor is great. I'll stay again!

After driving more than 4,000 km to Sooke, my wife and I found out our vacation rentals had been cancelled without notice. We spent nearly eight hours calling around and driving, but couldn't find anywhere. On our last call, Doug at Salty Towers said he had nothing for that first night but would have a place for us the next day. We slept in our tiny car at a beach that night, and the next morning he found us somewhere for the rest of our trip. It turned out to be a wonderful spot, with a dock for watching marine life, Whiffin Spit within walking distance, and everything else a short drive away. From the patio door we saw a seal with her newborn pup, eagles, and deer. Salty Towers is a hidden gem, and Doug is a wonderful host. I can't say enough about the whole experience or how much his hospitality meant to us. Thank you, Doug.

We loved walking out to the spit to watch the boats go by, and could head down the jetty to photograph seals. Deer came by regularly each day. The hot tub was great for unwinding and was never busy. Our host was very friendly, and the accommodation was clean, comfortable, and well equipped, with fast Wi-Fi and TV. Highly recommend.

I felt right at home in our cozy little cabin. They'd provided homemade slippers, jam, muffins, and snacks, which we loved. There's a private dock where seals sun themselves, and in summer you can go whale watching. The beach walks and scenery are beautiful. I love this place so much.
