Hepworth Hostel

The biggest rooms were roomy enough for our large family, and there were plenty of bathrooms. Upstairs there are two large bathrooms, plus two separate shower rooms, each with a sink, mirror, and sensor-activated light. Outside, there’s a huge property with horseshoes, a barbecue, and a fire pit, and guests can pitch a tent and camp if they want. It’s also close to Sauble Beach. The place was kept very clean, and manager Harry maintains it daily. Mr Harjit is a very friendly, easygoing person, and the atmosphere is always positive. We had a great experience and I’d give it five stars. I saw other reviews claim there was no privacy because one key fob could open everyone’s door, but that wasn’t true in my experience. Each guest gets a personal passcode and a fob that opens only their own door. When my friend locked his fob inside his room, mine wouldn’t open his door. It’s a comfortable place for families, too.

We feel so lucky to have met the owner and his staff. He made us feel like family, and let us check in as soon as we arrived early in the morning. He even made sure we’d eaten. Later, he invited us to sit by the campfire and look at the stars through his telescope. The owner has a heart of gold. Now, whenever we visit the Bruce Peninsula, we know uncle Harjit will be there waiting for us 💓

Parking is huge, and the location is handy: a one-minute walk to LCBO, three minutes to Tim Hortons and a gas station, and an eight-minute drive to Sauble Beach. For 450, two rooms that sleep 9pax felt very worth it. The washroom and shower area was surprisingly clean. It’s a hostel, so don’t expect Hotel amenities. Harjit was super accommodating and took care of our needs quickly. We’d definitely book this Hostel again for a Sauble Beach trip.

We stayed at Hepworth Hostel as a large group last week and had a really great time. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I’d spoken with Mr.Harjit by phone before booking, and he followed through on what he’d promised. He was friendly and went above and beyond with the arrangements, which we’re grateful for.
