Bel-Air Motel & Cottages

We liked how friendly the staff were, and the other guests were kind and caused no trouble. It felt very family friendly. I didn’t get the names of the two women running the place, but they checked in with us and dealt with any concerns quickly. It’s a cozy, no-frills place in Sauble. If you’re after luxury, this probably isn’t it, but you’re in a beach town, so go enjoy the beach. We’d certainly consider staying here again.

The rooms are clean, well equipped, and have a really comfortable mattress. It’s also just a three-minute walk to the beach. Tilly keeps the property very clean and does a great job looking after it. The first time I stayed, I broke the water tap at 2 a.m., and Tilly was there with a wrench within minutes to fix it and clean up. She’s so attentive and works hard to make guests comfortable. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Sauble Beach. Thanks for always being there when I need a getaway ❤️ See you soon!

The property itself is nice, but the service and accommodations were embarrassing for the price. We waited outside for two hours, had to move our dinner reservation, and heard other guests had been trying to reach the owner for hours too. We ended up joking about it at their cottage while we waited. When she finally arrived, she was extremely rude to us for being on the property. It felt like everyone else was blamed. At the end, we got a lecture and an offer of a refund for the “two hours we had to wait.” I was embarrassed to have booked this for my friend’s first visit to Sauble. I expect the owner will reply to try to discredit my review, but DO NOT BOOK HERE.

The cottages are well maintained and very clean, with everything you need for cooking: dishes, pots and pans, cutlery, a toaster, kettle, and coffee maker. There’s a fan in each bedroom and air conditioning in the main room. The beach is only a five-minute walk away. I stayed one night for a summer get-together with work and family, and I’d love to return with my family next year.
