Waterview On The Bay

The bathroom had mold everywhere, the beds were uncomfortable, the TV didn’t work, and the room smelled damp. We paid $390 for two nights and it was a total nightmare. When we arrived, the pool was green, but the front desk guy said swimming was fine because he’d just put in chemicals. My boyfriend and I stayed there, and even for free I wouldn’t stay again. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. It needs a complete renovation and a serious rethink. I’m still shocked when I think about it.

The grounds at Waterview on the Bay Resort were lovely, with flowers, trees, and plenty of green space. There’s a beach within walking distance, with chairs, benches, and a gazebo overlooking the bay. We also liked the community center, which has tables and chairs, a small kitchen with dishes and a microwave, plus an outdoor BBQ guests can use. We stayed in Room 207 for one night. It’s on the second floor but level with the parking lot, so we didn’t need stairs to get in. There are stairs down to the pool, though. The room was clean and comfortable, with a mini fridge and air conditioning that worked perfectly. The spacious private balcony had a table, chairs, and a hot tub for two, and the water and tree views were breathtaking. It was such a relaxing spot. The staff were friendly, and the owner was pleasant and helpful, answered my questions, and made us feel welcome. My husband and I had a fantastic stay and would absolutely come back. Highly recommend this peaceful, scenic, well-kept resort!

The location is really nice and the service was great. We had a small problem with our first room, but the manager switched us right away to one that worked for us. We’d stay at Waterview On The Bay again.

The property is great, right by the water, with a pool, volleyball, and picnic tables. Check-in was a bit of a hunt: nobody was in the office, so we found housekeeping at the back of the building. She asked whether we’d called the phone, but yes, there was nobody there to answer. The fire alarm went off three times during our stay, at 6pm, 3am, and 7am. The rooms and beds are dated but do the job. The shower smelled like sewage.
