The bed was genuinely comfortable, and the tents had nice lighting and double lining that kept insects out. There’s also a small, basic BBQ, though you have to bring your own coals or wood. With so many domes packed around the property, privacy felt limited. Rain made our one-night stay about two weeks ago unbearable. It started around midnight, and even light drizzle sounded incredibly loud on the metal-like tent roofs. We tried earplugs, noise-cancelling headphones, and covering our heads with pillows. Nothing helped, and attempts to sleep in the car didn’t work either. We’ve camped and glamped plenty, and this wasn’t acceptable. We asked the owner about moving to a dome, since he’d said only about five of the roughly 30 domes were booked, and also asked for different earplugs. We were told there weren’t any earplugs, and that we could switch only if we paid the price difference at the office right away. I’d have expected more help. In my opinion, renting these tents in that weather is a poor choice. This might be a nice place for a few nights if the weather is dry. I suspect heat could also be intense, so keep that in mind when booking. I included a photo of us as proof we stayed, since I’d seen the owner question in replies to other reviews whether people had actually been there.

Beautiful view and a lovely place, well worth the cost. The floor gets dirty really fast, though, and there’s no mat by the entrance, so each dome could use a mop. Power also trips often if you run more than one appliance, like a heater and dehumidifier together.

The range of things to do, from kayaking to nature trails, makes Blue Bayou Dome Resort a good fit for anyone wanting some adventure. It also seems suited to couples and families looking to relax. The domes have a cozy but upscale feel, with modern amenities and lovely views of the surrounding landscape. Set in a picturesque spot, this hidden gem offers a distinctive getaway. Guests rave about the service and hospitality, which add a lot to the stay. Whether you want to explore or unwind, it promises a mix of both.

The location is great, and the domes were clean. But there’s no door or even curtain between the room and washroom, which leaves both kids and adults with an awkward setup. It was freezing at night, and the small heater didn’t seem adequate for the space. There’s no fridge either. I’m really disappointed, especially for what I paid.

The rooms were crawling with earwigs, even though the grounds themselves were clean. There’s no AC, and it felt like sleeping in a sauna. The so-called barbecue was just an old piece of metal for holding coals. We ended up spending the last night in our vehicle. There isn’t a water view, and the price feels outrageous for what’s provided. If you’re after camping, you may enjoy bringing your own tent more. We checked out other domes in the Cheticamp area on the way home, and they were better quality for the same price. This place needs more attention to detail.
