We stayed in the James Alexander room and found it clean, nicely decorated, with a comfortable bed and great towels. Getting in and out of the place was easy, and parking was simple too. The location is good for walking to restaurants and other spots, with wineries not far away. The only snag was that the bikes were being serviced and weren’t available. The concierge was quick and easy to reach.

We walked to La Dolce Vita in the morning for a delicious breakfast. The hotel was pretty and quiet, and the bed was really comfortable. I liked the shower, and there were plenty of coffee pods, creamer and snacks. The AC was set to 70F when we got in, which felt too cold, so we changed it to 74F and that was just right.

Check-in was straightforward, and we didn’t run into any problems during the stay. The Inn was clean and comfortable, in a great location, and the kitchen had everything we needed. These folks know how to run an Inn!

We had nice rooms with full amenities, but got very little sleep on either of our two nights. The first evening and morning were uncomfortable because the heat had been turned off. Reception closes at 8PM, so nobody dealt with it until the next morning. At 1:30AM the following night, our inconsiderate neighbours invited people over for a loud gathering that went on for several hours. The building’s weak sound insulation made it hard to sleep, and reception wasn’t available to contact for help. We complained the next morning but got no reply, likely because we were checking out that same morning. Whether you have a good stay here seems to depend on the neighbours being considerate and keeping the noise at a reasonable level. It could have been lovely if everyone did that, but unfortunately it didn’t work out for us.

This was our second stay at Heart & Soul, and we’ve liked it even more each time. The location is so close to downtown that we didn’t need transportation. The rooms are well equipped, with a full en-suite bathroom, very comfortable bed, small fridge and lots of other useful little extras. They even have bikes on site, with helmets in the room. The check-in was easy, and it’s a beautiful room in a fantastic location. We visited Kingsville twice, stayed at the Heart & Soul twice, and ate at Jack's Gastropub both times. When something works, stick with it. Thanks to Lil' Heart & Soul for helping make another vacation weekend great. We’ll be back! Cheers!
