I was happy to get home and sleep better. The room smelled like stale cigarettes, looked dated, and felt dark and dim. The walls are thin, so we could hear the neighbours easily. The woman at the front desk didn't seem happy to be working, and her customer service was just okay, nothing special. I don't know whether this place, before it became a Travelodge, was owned by a company that allowed smoking. I wouldn't recommend staying here again. My sister stayed at the best western down the road, and her room was much nicer and smelled very clean.

We were in town for a skating competition, and the staff were friendly and very accommodating. We'd stay again. Thanks so much! Pay attention to the parking instructions: use the lot on the left side of the hotel when you're facing the front door. There are signs, and the staff will remind you too. :)

Our room was clean and comfortable, and completely adequate for our stay. The staff were warm and welcoming, and offered whatever assistance we asked for.

This stay at the Travelodge by Wyndham Spruce Grove was really uncomfortable. The hallways and elevator kept smelling of cigarette smoke, which was unpleasant with several children under three along. I don't think that environment is comfortable or appropriate for a hotel that welcomes families. We were on the 2nd floor. Around 9 PM, the front desk called about a noise complaint because the kids had woken up and were having trouble going back to sleep. Anyone with toddlers knows this happens. We did our best right away to calm them and stop them running around or making noise. About an hour later, a front desk staff member knocked and said a “regular guest” had been disturbed. She kept stressing how often that guest stayed and how important it was to accommodate them. As paying guests with small children, I expected some understanding too. Instead, we were told to “force the kids to go to sleep,” which isn't realistic with toddlers who've already woken up. The staff member also said we might be forced to leave if the noise continued past 11pm. I was doing all I could to keep the kids quiet, and being spoken to like that in front of my adult daughters felt disrespectful and unfair. Families shouldn't feel less important than “regular guests.” Between the smoke throughout the hotel and how staff handled the situation, the stay was extremely uncomfortable. I hope management deals with the smoking and how staff speak to families. I don't recommend staying here with kids. People have different opinions and experiences, and I'm just sharing what happened during my stay.

The staff were so welcoming, and the woman in the kitchen was especially kind and attentive. Breakfast was delicious and a lovely way to start the day. We had a wonderful stay at Travelodge by Wyndham Spruce Grove. We found it while driving home after a week-long vacation in Vancouver. It was the most affordable option we saw, yet turned out to be the best. The hotel is a little older, but it was perfectly clean and felt well cared for. It reminded us of visiting our parents' home, where everything is clean, cozy, tasty, and made with love. The place exceeded our expectations, and we'd gladly stay again. Highly recommend!
