I’m now paying for a room I won’t use, after my reservation was canceled through their online service without me finding out until the next day. I called at 6 pm the day before and couldn’t get anyone to answer. Only after I left a frustrated message did they call me back, and that was the day after. As others have said, avoid this place if you care about customer service. They’re rude and seem not to care, but they still want your money. Highway robbery. And they say they’re open 24 hours, but if that were true, I would’ve gotten a call that day. That feels like false advertising.

The bar next door is pretty cool and has great food, and they also offer lodging. I enjoyed both courses I took to improve my mountaineering skills. It’s a great outfit, with several highly experienced guides running guided trips, introductions, and courses to build personal skills.

We learned a lot in the HM-1 course, including knots, belaying, anchoring, climbing, self-arrest, rappelling, and how to inspect equipment. Gear was provided, though we had to bring clothing, and crampons were available to rent. Everything was explained clearly and at a steady pace that worked well over both days. It’s a great place for complete beginners to start. We’re looking forward to taking HM-2 next winter.

The manager tried to get us to pay for a stay without giving us a key. Once we got into the room, though, it was clean and fairly nice for the price. The terraces were beautiful, and the lake was really warm.

The place was clean, well equipped, and surrounded by nature. There’s a beautiful lake and beach, forest, mountain climbing, and more. We only stayed one night this time, but we’ll come back for longer. Strongly recommended. Thanks, Isabella 😊 Shanil
