Rodeway Inn

The free breakfast was fresh and had plenty of choices, and the staff we dealt with were pleasant and professional. The place is quiet too, with solid construction and no echoing in the halls. Our room was clean and practical, and the beds, sheets, and pillows were fresh and comfortable. Just to clarify, the room photos I posted were taken after we'd spent the night. When we arrived, the bed was made and the towels were hanging up. It's a well-kept motel, not a luxury hotel, but it was just right for our stay. I noticed some poor reviews and wonder if those guests were expecting a five-star Marriott for motel prices. I'll definitely stay here again.

We were pleasantly surprised by the breakfast the next morning. It was better than we'd expected, and the overnight reception staff had been so helpful when we arrived. We were on a road trip from Nova Scotia to Ontario and got to the hotel around 10 PM on September 12th while looking for a place to stay. We'd had little luck with nearby hotels before Glenn, if I'm remembering the name correctly, welcomed us warmly and offered a very reasonable rate for the night. Thanks for the hospitality and great service.

The staff were really nice and understanding while helping us make other arrangements. We didn't stay long enough to try the breakfast we'd heard was great. The rooms were dated, smelled bad, and weren't as clean as they should have been.

The breakfast was the only decent part of our stay. The pool and hot tub were truly disgusting, and after my kids swam, they came back smelling like a damp, moldy basement. Even after three days and several shampoo sessions, I still couldn't get the damp smell out of their hair. I ended up throwing away their bathing suits because the smell wouldn't come out. The rooms are really dated and the place badly needs an upgrade. The washer and dryer are a disaster, so don't bother trying them. It was just a one-night stop for us and I hadn't expected much, but this was seriously substandard. The price they charge is ridiculous for a place like this.
