Days Inn St Catharines Niagara

I was in St Catharines for a funeral and needed somewhere for one night. The room and lobby were modern and clean, and I felt safe staying alone as a woman. The complimentary breakfast was a pleasant surprise, with plenty to choose from, including scrambled eggs and hashbrowns. I’d stay here again.

The front desk staff were friendly and efficient, and the pool was pleasantly warm. Our king room had a comfortable bed and a layout I liked, with pull-out shelves in the bathroom for our things. I appreciate having a mini fridge, and I’m glad there aren’t microwaves in the rooms since I don’t like the idea of food being prepared where I sleep, with the extra chance of bugs. Breakfast was fine and typical, and I liked that real plates and cups were available. As a tea drinker, I also enjoyed the hot water and tea in the lobby. The hotel was quiet.

Getting in and out was easy with the app, and the location is handy off the highway, close to food, gas, and shopping. The hotel is clean, modern, and functional, with a simple but adequate free breakfast and excellent fitness facilities. Room service only comes every other day, which is fine in my opinion. The sliding closet and bathroom door can’t be locked and sits close to the room entrance, so privacy there wasn’t great.

The pool was nice, and they got us a crib for our youngest. The place was clean and the staff were really helpful from the moment we arrived. I’d never had a welcome message appear on the TV before, so that was a first for me. It was a good experience.
