Joyce served a lovely bowl of fresh fruit followed by her own take on French toast, and we had a great conversation over breakfast. Earlier, she’d treated us to homemade shortbread and a dram of scotch. The lake scenery was lovely from both the upper and lower patios, where we could relax with a glass of wine. From Joyce’s warm welcome to the home’s beautiful setting and charm, our day and evening couldn’t have been better. We’re so glad we found this bed and breakfast, and we’ll return without hesitation.

Joyce gave us great advice on what to do and when and how to do it, and it was spot-on. She communicated well before we arrived and welcomed us with a glass of red wine. We stayed for two nights, with delicious breakfast each morning and homemade shortbread and scotch in the evenings. Joyce is a wonderful host, with a great sense of humour and good stories, and the accommodations were excellent. We’d stay again if we’re in the area and highly recommend it.

The rooms were lovely and clean, and my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tigh-na-Mara. Joyce is a fabulous host. Her breakfasts are delicious, and chatting with her over breakfast felt like being at home. The homemade shortbread and dram of whiskey each night were a real treat. We highly recommend it and will be back!

The evening shortbread and whisky were a lovely extra, and Joyce made us feel warmly welcome. Her home is lovely, and the breakfasts are top notch. I’d absolutely recommend Tigh-na-Mara and hope to return soon.

Joyce made me feel like family from the moment I arrived. Tigh-na-Mara is very clean, and the view over Lake Ontario is beautiful, especially at sunset. Best B&B I’ve ever visited. Joyce really is the hostess with the mostest. Five stars all the way. Thank you, Joyce.
