Chalets Garou

The owners are friendly, and the chalet is lovely, clean, and stocked with what you need. It’s also handy for snowmobiling, with trails about 1 km from the road and a gas station nearby.

The owner was quick to help when our DVD player stopped working at 9:45 pm. They replaced it with a Blu-ray right away, and handled it with a smile and real enthusiasm. Great service at that hour. We had plenty of room for six, with spacious bedrooms, comfortable beds, and enough sheets. There are lots of plates and dishes for cooking, though the pans are worn and starting to delaminate. The chalet works well for a weekend of mountain biking, snowmobiling, and board games. The mountain setting and lake view are stunning, and the welcome gift was lovely. The owner also sent excellent follow-up and information by email. Just know that sound carries throughout the chalet, the water wasn’t potable during our stay, and there’s no dishwasher.

There was plenty of room for all five of us, and the chalet is thoughtfully laid out. It was clean, well equipped, and had a splendid view. We had a wonderful weekend at Chalets Garou. Many thanks to the owners for making our stay so enjoyable!

The view over Lake William is magnificent, and the welcome from the owners was so warm. Their passion shows in the service and how well the place is kept. We had everything we needed for an independent stay, including towels and linens, a fondue set, and a very well-equipped kitchen. The double beds were a bit of a surprise since we’re used to a king at home, but they were still very comfortable. Wi-Fi was a little slow, though it didn’t matter much since we wanted to disconnect. We had such a great romantic weekend at Le Forestier that we’ve already booked another date with a couple of friends. We highly recommend it!
