We booked two rooms for the family. The rooms and pool were great, and the grandkids had a good time. Front desk service was good too; they gave us early check-in and late check-out. Breakfast was being served until 10am, but when we got there at 8:30, they'd run out of eggs. We waited about 10 minutes for more sausages to cook. There were seven of us, and the hotel was fully booked. I feel they should've been better prepared for a full hotel, which is why I can only give it a 3.

Andrew on the night shift was great with our team's late-night energy in the lobby. He stayed patient and professional, and was especially good at connecting with the kids, who were happy to spend time with their friends. Leeanne in Sales also deserves a mention. She was easily the most responsive and helpful of the several hotels I contacted while arranging our trip from Nova Scotia for a senior girls basketball tournament. The rooms were excellent, the staff accommodating, and our stay in St. John's was outstanding. Five stars.

The pool was a real bonus for the kids and families. Everything was comfortable and well kept, and the whole hotel was very clean. The staff made us feel welcome, too. We had a great stay at Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites St. John’s and would gladly come back.

I’m on my third stay now. They’re renovating at the moment and it looks beautiful. I love this hotel, especially being close to Health Science Centre. On my earlier visit, the staff were friendly and efficient, the room was spotless, and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, and the pool and water slide were lots of fun. There’s a fitness room too. I’ll be back again. January 23 2026

I stay here fairly often because I travel a lot. Usually it’s fine: there’s free parking near the mall, and the staff are usually friendly. The rooms are a bit dated, but they do the job when I need somewhere to crash. This morning, before checking out, I found moldy bread at breakfast. Mold. Really? I definitely won’t eat here again. Someone should get Gordon Ramsay in to inspect the kitchen.
