We were 11 and all enjoyed our stay last month. The place was very clean and spacious, with an amazing location right behind the Sheraton. Everything was within walking distance.

The kitchen has everything needed for meals, and the gorgeous dining room is there for guests to use, though no meals are served. This beautiful, three story historic home has nicely furnished and decorated rooms. It’s also close to the Water Street harbour, shops, and banks for currency exchange. Definitely recommend.

Monroe House was quiet and peaceful when we visited near the end of the off season. The staff were pleasant, discreet, and around when we needed them. There’s some parking at the side and front, and downtown is within walking distance, along with Quidi Vidi, Signal Hill, Bannerman park, restaurants, a coffee shop, and more. The former home of a premiere of Newfoundland has gently winding staircases, beautiful works of art, relaxing common areas, and a spacious dining room. The kitchen is well stocked with all the conveniences of home. We really enjoyed our visit and would like to come back.

Bonnie and Eric were attentive and very helpful. We enjoyed our stay immensely and will return. The room was cozy, and having a full kitchen meant we could make meals if we wanted. The house is close to Duckworth St., one of the main streets in St.Johns, with access to Water St.

Mark and Julia were wonderful hosts and kindly accommodated our late check in, which we really appreciated. Monroe House is centrally located for the places we wanted to visit, all within a 20 minute walk. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting St. John's!
