Our small, intimate wedding ceremony here in September was followed by dinner. The grounds are gorgeous and gave us several options for the ceremony, reception, and photos. The staff were amazing and accommodating, and it felt like a real team effort to bring our day together. Dinner was delicious, and they worked with us on the menu. Special shout out to Charley, who was with us throughout. The rooms feel dated, and some of the exterior could use TLC. Still, it's a hidden gem, and that's part of its charm.

The room had everything we needed, and our host made us feel welcome. We wished we'd booked more time to enjoy this peaceful spot in St. Mary's, especially on an evening when dinner is available. If you're there on the weekend, bring a book, relax at the outdoor tables, and have dinner if you can. Thanks for keeping this lovely place going. We're glad we didn't have to stay at a chain hotel.

Another lovely weekend at the Westover. We spent two nights in room 1 of the manor building, which was beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. The service, food, and people were fantastic from check-in right through to check-out. Thanks to everyone. Darren

We arrived to find a room completely different from what we'd booked: the advertised king room was bright, spacious, 250 sq. ft., and had a balcony, but ours was much smaller and had no balcony. When I mentioned this at the front desk, the receptionist said they "always have issues with Booking.com" and couldn't help because it was their last available room. She suggested speaking with the manager in the morning. The stay was already uncomfortable because the window AC was so noisy we couldn't sleep. In the morning, there was no hot water and barely any pressure, so we couldn't even shower. The manager came to help, but accused me of "bullying" the receptionist the night before, which never happened. She checked the room, confirmed the water problem, and called a technician, but it wasn't fixed. We left without a shower, in a room nothing like the one we booked, and with an accusation of mistreating staff that wasn't true. This was completely unacceptable. I wouldn't recommend the hotel.

Our family and wedding party stayed Friday and Saturday when my wife and I held our wedding and reception at the Westover Inn. We had 48 people, and there were several spots to choose from for the ceremony. The staff were extremely helpful with setup, and Charley and Jack were superstars at answering questions and keeping everything in order throughout the weekend. The outdoor patio and lawn gave everyone lots of room to mingle, sit, or stand, and we even had space for lawn games. Friday night's rehearsal BBQ was fantastic, and the food was delicious all weekend. We can't say enough good things about the venue, and highly recommend it.
