Stanhope Cottages

Our grandchildren love the playground and getting to make vacation friends, and the location couldn’t be better. We always enjoy our annual stays here. The cottages and property are consistently clean and well maintained, basic and comfortable. A special thank you to Peter this year for his kindness and support when my husband was ill.

The beach was gorgeous and an easy walk from the cottage, with far fewer people than Cavendish. Back at Stanhope Cottages, our kids had a great time playing in the park area while we drank coffee on the porch, and the playground had a new addition that suited our older two, ages 9 and 7. The cottage itself was cozy, spotless, and well cared for, with a kitchen that had everything we needed. The owners were lovely and quick to answer questions or help out. You can tell they really care about making guests comfortable. We had a wonderful time on this beautiful island, and would definitely recommend staying here.

Matt was a great host and had good ideas for things to do nearby. There’s a playground with something for kids of different ages, and the cottage was charming, very clean, and stocked with what we needed. Everything worked properly. It’s also ideally placed for getting to the national park and all the beautiful beaches around it.

We could walk straight to the beach and skip the parking hassle, which made this a great spot for a family trip or an adults-only break. Stanhope cottages had a cozy, welcoming feel, and the units were equipped with AC, a full kitchen, and a deck with a BBQ. The hosts were really accommodating, and Jenny even picked fresh wild cherries for us along the lane.
