The rooms were quiet, clean, and comfortable, and breakfast at the restaurant was good. The new owners have made the place look amazing, especially the freshly renovated, spacious lounge-bar with arcade games, three pool tables, a stage, and comfy seating. For what you get, the price is more than affordable, and the initial booking also comes with a substantial rebate.

We were looking for an inexpensive place outside the city on our way through Manitoba, and ended up having a very nice stay and a beautiful meal. The restaurant was outstanding: hot, delicious food served quickly, very reasonably priced, and with wonderful service. The room was better than I expected after reading some reviews about a smell. The bed was clean and comfortable, the shower was clean, hot, and nice, and there was a mini fridge with a freezer. The pub and VLT area also looked clean and well maintained. I’d definitely recommend it for a good sleep and an amazing meal.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the price was amazing for what you get. Each person received an $8 voucher toward an excellent, hearty breakfast. I’ll definitely stay here again on my next cross-Canada trip.

The hotel rooms are a good price and meet my standards, and the place is clean and well kept. The bar has a good VLT selection if you feel like trying your luck, plus friendly, knowledgeable staff and good service. Danny was great to see behind the bar. I’d recommend staying at the Franz.
