Roadhouse 52 Inn & Suites

We booked Roadhouse 52 for one night while attending a function in Steinbach, without knowing anything about the place, and were pleasantly surprised. It was very clean and well kept, with spacious rooms that had everything we needed. A few of us could gather in an additional area, and the staff were very accommodating. I was especially impressed by the cleanliness and the wonderful hot breakfast. The setting is in an industrial area, so there’s no real view outdoors. You stay here because you have an activity in the area, then head off to it. In my opinion, they’ve outpaced the franchised hotels. We’ll definitely return. Congratulations to the owners and their diligent staff, keep it up!

That cheerful gentleman at breakfast made us feel right at home. He answered all our kids’ questions and gave us to-go containers so we could pack some extra snacks for the last 15-hour drive home. Breakfast was fresh and hot because you choose what you want and when you’d like to eat the night before. Such a nice touch. We’d driven for 16 hours and needed a place for the kids and us to rest. At 4 a.m., we weren’t expecting to find anything easily, but someone answered the phone kindly and helped us right away. From check-in through check-out, the experience was wonderful. Our room had two queen beds and was huge compared with the many hotels we’d stayed at in the weeks before. It was spotless, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. We’re already planning a proper getaway here, somewhere we know will be comfortable, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. It’s also just the kind of family-friendly stop you want after a long day of driving.

The hotel has clean rooms, a nice free breakfast, and awesome staff. Unfortunately, a hockey team was staying there, and the adults in charge let the kids act like animals. They knocked on doors, screamed and yelled in the halls, and threw themselves against room doors. Staff tried to enforce the rules, but the parents just laughed at them. That wasn’t the staff’s fault at all.

My second-floor room was spacious, spotless, well lit, and quiet. It had satellite TV and soft, stackable pillows, so I could get the height and firmness right. I liked the modern finishes, sitting area, and loft game room, and there were snacks and ice cream available in the lobby. Breakfast was freshly made and free. The hotel was clean and good value for the price. There’s ample free parking away from the busy street, with a smoked BBQ restaurant across the lot and other restaurants and shopping nearby. A hot tub was available, but I hadn’t brought my suit since this was a spontaneous stop. They also had guest laundry and the amenities I’d expect. I was pleasantly surprised and will stay here again.
