We’d only planned a short day trip and had left our credit cards behind, then bad weather stranded my family. I called to ask if the hotel could fit us in. Mike, who I believe is the manager, told me not to worry and that getting my family into a room came first; we could sort out everything else later. Within 10 minutes, we were settled in for the night. The staff were kind and friendly too.

After a long day, the quiet room had everything we needed, and the price made this place a great find. There’s a good restaurant right next door, plus Subway nearby. I’d stay here again.

The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and breakfast was enough. What really stood out, though, was the hospitality. The gentleman working there was incredibly kind and went way beyond what I’d expect. I haven’t had customer service like that in a very long time. The nearby restaurant seems to be owned by the same people, I believe, and its staff were so accommodating too. Such a great experience. I’d absolutely recommend the place and come back if I’m in the area.

For the price, this place is well worth it. The rooms were really clean and well kept, and the breakfast included with the stay was very good, though I’d have liked some fruit. The manager made things more comfortable by checking in every day, and the staff were all friendly. Since I worked nights, housekeeping couldn’t come in while I was asleep, but the housekeeper was kind and respectful and always asked if I needed anything. There was someone at the lobby desk or just around the corner whenever I needed help. I’d definitely recommend staying here. 10/10 for customer service and cleanliness.

Two words: a godsend. The hotel had a vacancy sign, and after a long, exhausting drive, I was relieved to find it. My daughter and I had set out from Edmonton, taken far too many detours, and by 3:30 in the morning we were driving through snow and strong winds with the temperature at -11°F. My GPS said the nearest hotel was over 400 miles away, so I was hoping the highway sign was right. The first town looked shady, and I kept going. The next three did too. Then an oil rig lit up this little town and the hotel. I rang the service bell inside. A very kind gentleman came out from a side room, and I’m sure I’d woken him. Even so, he was cheerful and concerned about my daughter and me being out so late in that weather. He got us checked in quickly and said his wife would bring breakfast up so we could sleep in. They brought a wonderful, full hot breakfast with coffee. The shower was relaxing, with strong water pressure and very hot water. The room was clean and well organized, the beds were comfortable, and my daughter was happy to find lots of towels in the bathroom. I’ll keep saying this place was a gift from the gods who took pity on an exhausted father. It’s a must for a stopping point.
