There’s so much character in this historic Stratford home, with thoughtful details throughout and a rare blend of elegance, warmth, and history that makes it feel special. The Stratford Festival, restaurants, and town are all close by. You can see how much care has gone into preserving the mansion’s beauty while keeping it inviting and luxurious. One of Stratford’s real hidden gems.

The breakfasts here outshone those at several B&Bs I’ve stayed in that claimed to serve the best. Debra and George are wonderful hosts, and my daughter and I had a lovely stay this week. They’ve lovingly restored the home, preserving its history while reflecting Debra’s design background. George does the baking and Debra cooks. Every plate looked like a work of art and tasted delicious.

Debra and George handle every detail for the weddings they host, from hiring the vendors to looking after the couple and guests. Debra even makes the wedding cake herself. Hughson Hall is a beautiful venue, and a good choice if you want a stress-free wedding.

After the welcoming owner put us at ease, his charming wife showed us around their beautifully appointed home. We were then offered a gourmet charcuterie platter and a choice of white wine. Heaven! At 8:00 the next morning, they brought a tray with fresh coffee in a silver urn, plus orange juice and apple juice. A sumptuous breakfast followed at nine: a rhubarb scone, a raspberry confection with assorted fruit, then eggs Benedict on a delicate biscuit with vegetables arranged around it. We loved it all and would highly recommend this B & B. You won’t be disappointed. Five stars all the way!
