Rodeway Inn Festival

At around 9 pm, when we were getting ready for bed, water started dripping into the bathroom through the lights, as if someone were showering above us. There was already water on the floor and counter when we arrived. We couldn't find where it was leaking from, so we wiped it up. The person at the front desk said it had never happened before, but that seemed unlikely given the water already there. We left and went to the Best Western down the street. It was a horrible stay, and I would never recommend this place. 😣

The price was great, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised: check-in was easy, and my room was spacious, clean, well-appointed, and quiet. The only downside was being a bit far from the theatres, so I had to drive.

The place is old and a little tired, but the bigger problem was being put between what looked like two long-term rentals even though the hotel was nearly empty. People were allowed to smoke and keep pets in the rooms. A dog barked loudly, and the smoke smell hung around all night, making for an uncomfortable stay.

There was what looked like an old bloodstain on a pillow, filthy stains on the room furniture, and mold in the shower. Wallpaper was peeling off the walls, and there'd been no snow removal, so I had to shovel my way in. This used to be an awesome motel, but it's gone downhill fast!
